I found this whilst I was checking up on binders on the web. I must be thick or what but I thought, what was on IHD stayed there. I will now be taking my picture off.

I'm confused.  What happened?  Can you explain the above a little clearer.  Sorry, I'm just trying to find out what happened.

I think she is referring to the fact that some of our posts are picked up by search engines such as Google.

Hi, Billybags.

I found IHD by doing a search on the web for a particular topic. And guests may peruse our "sacred halls", too.

I always knew that even though we are members, it is a public place.

Oh, that's what billybag was talking about.  Yeah, the website is opened for the public can read.  That's how I find this site.  One day, I was trying to search some information regarding dialysis and this site came up.  I was serious just by the name of the site.  I've logged in and read, read, read, read, read, and read before becoming a member.   Yes other people can read this site whose not IHD members.     ;D

Zach, you are spot on,  I did not realise that Google picked up some of our post's and it came as a surprise that's all. I know people can come on IHD and read what ever is there but to see it on a googled site it threw me. Any way do you like my incognito picture?

Anybody can see what you put on here.  The posters on here might not be who you think they are either so be careful what you put.  Such as your real name.  >:D Not everyone is nice.  If someone were to get your real name and your location, say from your profile... you might be in trouble.

Well, I'm in the phone book too!  Should I not do that either?  I think you do need to be careful, but most people on here are honest about who they are.  Lets face it - if I was to make a personality I don't think it would be a 46 year old with a tube and PD belly!  :rofl;
But a good point about cyberspace.  Everything, and I mean everything you write on a computer could be looked at by someone else.  I wouldn't be worrying too much about google!
