Alan had to have a pre - op Monday so they can sort his catheter out because it has been positioned too high and draining out takes ages. He is back on to CAPD. They are also going to give him another fistula at the same time. He already has had three and they have not worked. To cut to the chase they found a heart murmur, he had to have 2 days of Nuclear scanning and the down side is, his heart is very badly damaged from a heart attack 2 years ago. There is nothing they can do, it is his heart muscle that is not pumping very well, so he would need a heart transplant. "fat chance". He really does not need this, I do not need this. It is shi*. I really thought 2010 would be a better year for us after the shi* we had last year, but no. His operations will go through week after next because it is just a local anesthetic. Had to vent this gang sorry.

billybags, wait a second.  Maybe 2010 won't be a piece of cake but it's still got a chance to be a better year than 2009.  Right now things aren't looking so good but it's only January.  There's still time for it to get better.  Whatever it ends up like, though, I know you will take it as it comes and fight through it.

I'm sending you a big hug!   :cuddle;

Billybags, if it's any consolation, my PD catheter placement didn't go well either. They knew I had peritonitis recently so they went in laparascopically and saw so much scarring that they aborted the insertion of the PD cath so I'm staying on hemo. PD sucks anyway, peritonitis is hella painful and dangerous. But I did feel better on it while it was working. Has anyone talked to you about possible home hemo on NxStage?

So far 2010 has sucked big time!
I lost my cell phone, all my numbers, still haven't got a new one, using my hubby's for now.
Brakes went out on my car, front and back $$$.
Battery died on my daughter's car, got a new one. The one on my Chevy now also had to be replaced.
Of course, Jenna's kidney rejection is a really sad event.
Today my digital camera stopped working, it's 3 years old. It's my source of creativity and relaxation, and now I have to send it somewhere to be check out.
I'm going to bed.

Remember Hee Haw and the song "If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.  Gloom, despair and misery on end"?

Cheer up folks (he said after a few days of depression).  It would be worse.  My car is so old when I want to stop I just drag my feet on the ground.
