I am celebrating today eight years on dialysis.  It seems not that long ago, but then ages ago that I started all of this business.  I am glad I discovered this place a year ago and came aboard.  I wish it had been around before I began this long journey.  The wisdom I have found here has helped me to ask the right questions and to take better care of myself. You all helped me through the last, which was parathyroid surgery. First with information and advice, then with well wishes for a recovery.

I am running around here yelling Celebrate eight!  Eight it grand!  I am a supereight now! (Maybe I should rephrase that last one someone might think I am motel and ask for reservations.)

Well I am bragging on myself.  Good for me!

I think that calls for a cake with 8 candles.

(Anyone got a renal friendly recipe for that?)

I know how you feel because I just passed my 5th anniversary.  On that same day I hit 1000 treatments at my dialysis center.  I'm still here, I feel good, the staff takes good care of me.  It's not as good as healthy kidneys, but then, not that many decades ago I'd have been long dead by this point.  So I'm not inclined to complain... much.

It's so good to see Kevno and Kitkatz at it again!  Kind of missed their squabbling.  But careful, Kevno.  Don't you see she even displays the big stick now.
Anyway, I am so happy for our resident superheroine.  She is doing wonderfully well!
