I dont know why but since i started on Hemo my sense of smell has started to change ! Perfume that ive worn for years , i cant stand the smell of , im now craving fresh lemony ones instead of florals. Some food smells off putting and i swear yesterday at dialysis i could smell blood , it made me feel sick  :puke;

lol, it's very likely you smelled blood at dialysis.  More than once I watched someone stand up and start dripping blood on the floor.  Can't help you with the perfume; I dislike most of them now as they are way too heavy.  I do remember when I was pregnant the smell of raw meat made me nauseous; maybe it was the blood thing.  Hang in there.  Hope things get better for you.

Very true, with me if i smell it don't like  out comes everything  I ate that day. A nurse helped me fix it though. When I feel nausea setting in from a smell she gave me alcohol wipes to smell and it settles my stomach down instantly.

would a bottle of vodka do the same thing?  LOL, that would definitely make me throw up.  I do understand about the smell changing though, mine definitely have, not for the better.

My sense of smell has deteriorated as I've grown older.

Maybe it's as well from the stories our nurse has been telling us.

By our nurse I'm talking about Nurse whatshername — can't remember, but her avatar says "Behave or I'll smack your bottie until you do"

Yes please!  :rofl;
