I am happy to report that today, we used my new graft for the first time, and it went great! One needle in arm, the other line hooked to the catheter. 17gauge to start, then eventually will use both needles, 15gauge, and starting at flow of 250 and work up to 450. And, there is still a good, strong thrill at the artery. Just need to get used to the sting of sharp needles again. If all goes well, I should hopefully be done with the catheter around the end of the month.
I had the barium xray procedure done Monday last week. No news from it or my partial colonoscopy, so I guess everything is OK.
Gave the local transplant people the 8-9 tubes of blood I mentioned last message.
Finally, the Bay Area transplant folks asked me about getting a cardiac ultrasound. I said I think I did that last year; they will ask the VA about it, since that is where I would have had it done.
So, finally, I should start the waiting game, at both facilities.
  That's it for now.
