Home made Hamburger Helper, brown the hamburger, add 1/2 envelope of taco seasoning mix, plus brown rice. Pretty Good. Oh, plus a ciabatta roll.

I like to make my own hamburger helper too. Ground beef, onions, garlic, tomato paste, whatever herbs and spices I feel like (usually chili powder, oregano, black pepper, red chili flakes), a splash of milk, some macaroni, and just enough water to cook the macaroni in the beef mixture. Sometimes I add a bit of balsamic vinegar, or a touch of sugar.

What balsamic vinegar tastes like depends on the kind you get. Almost all the bottles you'll find in a supermarket taste pretty much like red wine vinegar, maybe a little sweeter, but many aren't "real" balsamic vinegar. The real kind is aged for a long time, and hopefully is certified by the Italian consortium on balsamic vinegar, usually costs upwards of $30 for a small bottle, and is thick and sweet like syrup, yet still tangy. You can get a similar effect by boiling down the cheap balsamic until it's thick.

A couple weeks ago in Las Vegas I had a dessert of roasted strawberries with real good aged balsamic vinegar and Humboldt Fog goat cheese. They all went excellently together.

Oh, thanks. I know I did not pay $30.00 for my bottle, but I did buy it at Trade Joe's and it does say made in Italy. I will try it on some tomato. Or some strawberries. Do they have to be cooked or is raw okay.

Strawberries (fresh/raw),  Tomatoes either.  Sparingly though.  I also like to put fresh ground black pepper on the strawberries and maybe add a few leaves of that tiny lettuce (don't know what it is)

The small rectangular bottle of balsamic vinegar from Trader Joe's? That's the one I have. That about the best you're gonna get without getting something aged and certified (and thus much more expensive). I hear Costco's Kirkland brand balsamic is pretty good too.

It'll be good on raw or cooked strawberries. I like it on raw sliced tomatoes (real good heirloom beefsteak tomatoes from the farmer's market) with some coarse sea salt and fresh cracked black pepper.

Usually I like rice wine vinegar and olive oil for a salad dressing. Could I also use the balsamic with olive oil? Gonna try it tomorrow for sure.

Absolutely. Balsamic vinaigrette is a classic dressing. 1 part balsamic, 2 parts olive oil, a tiny bit of Dijon mustard, a pinch of sugar, a pinch of salt, and maybe some black pepper, and whisk it all together. Maybe use less olive oil if that's to your taste, but I like a ratio closer to the classic 1 to 3.
