you can also buy them in the frozen food section at the grocers. I like the beef tamales. Okarol you are right though, homemade are the best...Boxman

Those are the best tamales, never had chicken though, just beef and pork. My mothers friend made fresh tamales and sent home 12 of them for me. They were so good and the first time I had homemade tamales in a corn husk.

For tomight, I hade some Rold Gold Mustard Pretzels and decaf coffee.

ham 'n beans, homemade cornbread and a chocolate malt from Sonic.

Mhmmmm, tamales are awesome. I know a lady who makes homemade tamales, so friggin good. Also a mexican family brings homemade tamales and burritos to my unit a few times a month. Thats some good eats! ;D But my fave is Sopa....Yummi!

Chicken noodle soup from Swiss Chalet.

I have never seen Tamales in Canada.  Anyone from Canada know where to buy them, store or restaraunt?  They sound absolutey delicious.

Tamlales are a plenty here in Texas, so close to the border.  Many make them by hand for CHristmas, that is when I usually get a batch.  Never made them myself, but they are really good in restaurants too.  TOnight I made chicken breaded in almond flour and parmesean cheese and a side of zucchini and tomoates.  Tried to make crepes for dessert, but they did not work.  :(  But I ate the berries and sourcream anyway!

For tonight while at class, I had two bags of fries from the cafeteria (no salt yeah!), a decaf coffee, a Devil's Chocolate snack cake from Little Debbie, and a Nature Valley Blueberry Yogurt bar. Geez, I need real food!

Tonight we had a fish fry (fish my son caught and gave us)with french fries (I had small baked potato) cabbage, carrot,
and onion slaw, steamed brocoli and garlic bread.  Boxman, it was also deliciooous. Hmmmmmm

Tonight I went to a resturant in downtown Milwaukee that offered a remake of the "Big Boy" hamburger. It was very good and reminded me of dining at the old Big Boy. Could have had a little more sauce though...Boxman

Pork chipotle chili tonight. Corned beef and cabbage tomorrow night. Chicken with 40 cloves Saturday night. Leftovers all next week   :lol;

I've worked all day, and I'm pooped!  Marvin has steaks ready to grill (and he won't let me cook steaks -- he has to do it).  He went to the grocery store and bought big baking potatoes (he has them washed, rolled in tin foil, and ready for me to bake) and all the stuff to make a huge salad (my job, too).  Then, he called my best friend this afternoon and invited her and her boys over for supper (her husband's working night shift).  Marvin's having a treatment now, but he plans to fire up the grill around 6:30.  He asked for a big pitcher of sweet tea.  Every working wife needs a Marvin!!!

Last night we had chicken marinated in Italian salad dressing, some chicken flavored rice, mac & cheese, broccoli and some fresh french bread.  It was delish!  My son had a friend over and this kid can eat, hence the 2 side dishes.  Thank God we only have 1 boy, any more and our food bill would be through the roof!

Last night was lazy...I made nachos with tortilla chips, heated up some queso, poured that over the chips, and heated up some leftover wendy's chili from my taco salad, and put some sour cream on top. YUM!!!!  And lemonade to go with it....  And LOTS of phoslo!!!!

I had a binder's nightmare supper
Fried green tomatoes with Ranch dressing
Fried pickles with Ranch dressing
grilled catfish with no spices, just lemon juice squirted on
tator tots --- I gave them to my dogs - only ate one
mixed green salad
the dessert was a little fancy -- creme burlay, or creme breley   -- with fresh blackberries and raspberries
 I don't know how to spell the dessert and neither does spell check but I recommend it

Well I had actual food tonight. I went to Chili's and had a 1/2 slab of dry rub ribs with black beans and mashed potatos with pepper sauce. Withchips and sauce as an appetizer. The killer was having two beers, but that bad feeling was gone after an hour of lying down. Don't think I need to eat tomorrow after tonights meal.
