Tamales are a Mexican (or Spanish or Native American) dish made of chopped meat (usually pork or chicken) and seasoned with chile peppers, surrounded by corn dough (masa), wrapped in corn husks, and steam cooked. They are pretty time-intensive to make so most people make them here around Christmas. I keep a few stashed away in my freezer because I love them!
I know what I'm dreaming about tonight.......
Tonight I went to a resturant in downtown Milwaukee that offered a remake of the "Big Boy" hamburger. It was very good and reminded me of dining at the old Big Boy. Could have had a little more sauce though...Boxman

I've worked all day, and I'm pooped! Marvin has steaks ready to grill (and he won't let me cook steaks -- he has to do it). He went to the grocery store and bought big baking potatoes (he has them washed, rolled in tin foil, and ready for me to bake) and all the stuff to make a huge salad (my job, too). Then, he called my best friend this afternoon and invited her and her boys over for supper (her husband's working night shift). Marvin's having a treatment now, but he plans to fire up the grill around 6:30. He asked for a big pitcher of sweet tea. Every working wife needs a Marvin!!!
