Hello everyone, I just want to tell all that I was very concerned about applying for social security because I was told that most people on PD
get denied, that it would be difficult. I not only was dealling with the symptoms of ESRD, anxieties ,insomnia high and low blood pressure
episodes. Now I was thinking that if I was denied I was going to have to push myself to go back to work after missing more than four months
and still feeling like crap. I had also. asked if anyone had hired an attourney to get their social security. Thanks to many of you, you told me not
to hire an attourney unless I had already been denied. Well it turns out you were right, I applied online on Feb 9th and had an award letter in my
hands by Feb 27th.
I have 33 years at my job with Safeway, I was 2 and 1/2 years from retiring and now with my award letter I qualify for my full pension.
So pardon me if I celebrate about not going back to work, but I also want to let everyone know not to worry about applying for your
benefits. The online application does take a few hours to fill out completely, so if you're needing to apply go to
www.socialsecurity.gov Thanks to you all.....especially ...you Paris........... Gus
