I don't know how many people are aware of this, but most states have a Donate Life license plate! Xtrememoosetrax told me about this. She has pictures posted of hers on her Facebook profile. I think that is so awesome, and as soon as I get some money next week, I'm getting mine!! If anyone is interested in them, you'll have to google "donate life license plate" plus your state. I can't find any sites that list all the states that are available.

I'm so excited! I ordered my Donate Life license plates today! I got specialized ones that will say 'KIDNY1'. Unfortunately, 'KIDNEY' was already taken and 'KIDNEY1" had too many letters/numbers. Oh well. As soon as I get them, I'll post pictures!!   :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

I wonder if the reason why Ohio has the plates available is because there is no helmet law here?   :rofl;  >:D  Actually, I shouldn't laugh. It's not really funny.  :(

States that offer them (fees vary) include:  Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Arizona.  There may be others also; this is what I found with a quick Google search.  Interesting point about the helmet law; we don't have one here in NM either.

I wish our Donate Life license plates look like that instead of the ugly ones we have. I will not get our states Donate Life plates because they are ugly Chicago Bears colors and do not have the donate life symbol. It just doesn't represent Organ Donation.

My thoughts exactly. Most states have the Donate Life emblem, but not Illinois!

Looks like someone supports the Chicago Bears who suck each and every year.

I wrote to my states dmv asking if it would be possible to redesign ours to incorporate the universal donate life emblem. Probably won' go anywhere hough, but had to tell them that it looks like I'm supporting a football team rather than bringing awareness to organ donation. Would be nice if they changed the color to.

"Life goes on" is basically Illinois' version of "Donate Life".  I got a pamphlet when I updated my driver's license.

Illinois does have Donate Life, I belong to their family of websites for Illinois and they work with Team Illinois for the transplant games ( I just don't go there much, no real fun there). Life Goes on I have only seen once due to a transplant group based out of Naperville.

I still don't like our plates though :rant;

My tags are due and I have requested the donate life ones. Maryland has a helmet law I checked. I remember Len's transplant surgeon saying something about he hoped all motorcycle riders had signed their donor card. I remember thinking at the time, that was a horrible comment to make but reading all the news about number of motorcycle accidents, maybe it makes sense.  :cuddle;
