I've been trying to put on my own Avatar - and so far have failed miserably, even with resizing it down etc.  Anyone know how to do it please?

Go to "profile" then to "forum profile information", click "I will upload my own picture". Now, I put the picture I want (after resizing) on my desktop, but you can put it anywhere on your computer, documents etc. Just click browse, locate where you put your picture, highlite it there in the "browse", click "change profile". That should do it

That's what I did.  Maybe the pic is too large.  Do you know what size it's got to be?

450x450 max, I have photo suite, it keeps the proportions equal, so the picture isn't messed up

I have the maximum settings for the Avatars set at 120x110 (120pixels wide x 110pixels high) You can upload a larger picture and the forum will try to re-size it for you but sometimes it won't re-size correctly or work at all, so I recommend that you re-size it to those dimensions before uploading it.

Next time please ask questions about the site in the proper section which is: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=12.0

Or you may do a search and you would have found this thread I made about avatars: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=127.0

I will move this topic to the proper section and lock this thread, since you are new I will PM you so you will know what happened to your thread.  :)
