Recipe Book
«

I want to take some of the recipes off the site and compile them into a nice recipe book for a few gifts this Christmas. Does anyone have any objections to their recipe being used? I am going to assume if it is posted on here it was for mass consumption.

you could request for certain kinds of recipes if you need them
will these be renal friendly
if not, we can eat in moderation or eat how much you want
I have some renal recipes I have not added to this post
and that raspberry frozen thing can also be made with any brand of sugar free pudding
like choc, Kitkatz and her choc
or made using regular pudding, which is better than SF

Good idea, Twirl! Were you planning on dividing the cookbook by type of food, i.ie, entree, appetizer, etc? If there's something you like more of,
just ask!! I'm sure some of us will have recipes for you!

Oh my. This is not a major project I am planning on taking on you all. I wanted permission to do a small cookbook for friends. I like some of the more unusual recipes you come up with n here.
I love the chocolate pudding and raspberries Twirlie girlie. I am going shopping today so will pick up the ingredients and give it a whirl.

Kitkatz, did not mean to imply you should take this on for everyone. I understood you wanted to do this for yourself. Just thought it would be a neat idea to compile an IHD cookbook, maybe sometime in the future.. Maybe even for an annual get together?

An IHD cookbook sounds like a good idea. A lot of schools and different associations do it as a fund raiser. You just send a company all the recipes they put it all together and send the finished cookbooks back to the association to sell. We are in the process of doing it at our school as a fund raiser. It is a really easy fundraiser for us. Students brought in the recipes we sorted them out and sent them off to the publisher. They just need the handwritten recipes they type them and everything!!! be nice to do here and sell to the members!!!

In the early days of IHD, a member talked about a recipe book. I suggested using the company that publishes them for fundraising, but she had meant a personal project. It would be lovely if we could work on one. It is made very easy by the company. All we have to do is provide the recipes. I have about three of them from various fundraisers and they are really lovely. We could even work in pictures and little quotes, etc. It could boost our finances and serve as a valuable IHD souvenir.
Someone would have to volunteer to oversee it.. Any takers?

It would be fabulous to have some renal recipes all in one book rather than having to look up on computer for them and copy off a book is easy access when cooking. I am predialysis it would help us also get prepared to eat right I would by it in a minute.

If I wasn't so busy with work and school, I'd take it on... I wouldn't mind working on it during the summer when I will have hopefully graduated and school will be out so I won't have to work...
I think it is a great idea!
