With only 4 hours total on dialysis last week, my blood work came back excellent! My time is going to be cut from 4 hours to 3! I know this may only be temporary, but even so, its a blessing anyways. I just had to share this news with you all, after all we are family  ;D
I know a few of you have been keeping my situation in prayer, and I want to thank those of you who have been praying for me, as well as other members. Its true that old saying "Prayer changes things", I'm a living example of that, Again thanks to everyone, hope this helps some who think there is no hope, there is!

Congratulations Joe, you are sticking with the game plan.  You'll do very well on dialysis and beyond.

Good for you!  What are you doing to cause that, so maybe I can get Joe to do that too!   ;)

That is excellent news - the kind of news I have been longing to hear myself.  As Sara said, tell us what you have been doing to achieve this.

Why are they cutting back your hours? Do you have any kidney function left? Lack of hours is not so good in the long term.

Prayers, like I said. Other than that, I just been following my diet. Last I knew my kidney function was at 6%, but, as you remember, I hadn't gone to dialysis except for those 6 hours last week. For the last month, I haven't gained any fluid & When they did my blood work last Friday, everything came back in the "normal" range,(haven't used any epogen in 2 months)  that is why the cut in time on the machine. My neph will monitor the blood work, and see how it works out, and even if it turns out its temporary, still it will be a nice break. My kidneys are failing due to 32 years of diabetes.
