In 2004, Congress passed the Organ Donation and Recovery Improvement Act, legislation that establishes a program to reimburse expenses of living donors and improves the coordination of organ donation in hospitals. However, Congress has yet to provide funding for the law.

The time for funding is now! Senators must inform the Appropriations Committee by Friday May 4th of their funding priorities for next year. Tell your Senators to make funding the Organ Donation and Recovery Improvement Act a priority.
