I did a search for adding pictures and I found this thread but this is about avatars Not exactly what I was looking for Oh well .. But since anyone who is looking for HOW TO would go here I will put an explanation here. Is that okay? Just makes sense When you are posting .. right under the window you are typing in there is an arrow and a link that says Additional Options...Click that and you will see what is below in the picture I attached using this exact method!
okay - this seems like the right place to ask this. . . I did the avatar thing with a pic of my cat on her favorite quilt. I've also read the post on downsizing the pics into a smaller format. I confess to having no idea whatsoever what size or format or jpeg or whatever my cat pic is in. Do I need to shrink it down to make it work better on here? Or is that only for pics being posted in a reply post, and not the avatars? I saw the post with the program to download to shrink the pics, but I never download anything to this computer - my husband needs it for work, so I don't dare download stuff that may mess something up. If I need to adjust the cat pic, will someone let me know, so I can have my tech geek husband do it for me?

Ken, do you have a PC or Mac? I wasn't able to get the Power Toy program to work on my Mac, but this one worked great, and you can crop, adjust color and contrast, and resize --> http://pixenate.com/index.pl
