Hi guys!
Another proof that you can live quality life on D. yesterday I completed my first bike marathon (67 miles long). I was in first third of 890 competitors and was faster than many healthy person. A fellow of mine who is also a bike rider was 30 minutes behind me.
On Saturday I have another marathon.
I enclose a picture at the finish line. The medal is for all of you.

CONGRATS to you --- this is wonderful and keep up the good work --
Of course, due to medical problems and other conditions, many might not be able to do that which you have accomplished.. but each person can live to their highest quality of life, especially if there treatments do not result in complications that leave them washed out and unable to do those things they like to do.
My father, who died July 14th, 2010, less than two days after his dialysis treatment, lived every minute to the fullest no matter how sick he felt. Of course, what many don't understand is that staff can call in sick when they don't feel like working, or are ill and don't want to go to work -- patients, regardless of how they feel, MUST go to their life-sustaining treatment.. My father, died at the age of just turning 91.. (the insensitivity of the unit staff was such that we would bring a card for them to sign for his birthday so he would think the staff cared enough to have done it on their own --many units give a card to a patient on the birthday--..my father, no matter how bad he felt he had his routine where he and his female friend went for coffee and a bagel each morning up until three days before he died. He believed in living life to the fullest and even at 91, being on dialysis for six years, he did live life to the fullest and did all that he could ---to read about my Dad

Congratulations. I bought my bike 3 weeks ago after taking a 10 year break from cycling. Right now my normal run is 30 km and I notice a huge difference in my strength. I'm thinking of also running my first 5 km in September.

I did it again. Classic Slovene Marathon Franja
http://www.franja.org/maraton_franja_2011.html
. it is 100 km (62 miles) long in 3:18 hours which is great for my condition. Again 2 pictures, one before start and the other at finish (this will be also on the cover of magazine called Ledvica (kidney).
