hi,
I dont know if anyone on here has heard of Kidneyfun.com? Well it was the first site that I ever joined. I kind of want some advice from the folks on here.

The girl who ran Kidneyfun put her heart and soul into it. Well last year she got a kidney transplant and now really doesnt want to be bothered with it because she is more or less "normal" now. At the end of this month Kidneyfun.com is due to shut down. Her ex fiance is willing to pay the $170 a year to keep the site up and running, but none of us are really want to become the head adminstrator. We have a few moderators, but they cant be the head adminstrator for they have their own websites.
I really loved this site. I personally am not sure how much work is involved with being a site moderator, and can I personally handle the responsibilities?
Would any of you want to try going to this site as well? I know its such short notice.
http://www.kidneyfun.com

Thanks Lisa

I am a member but since Shay has stopped posting it looks pretty quiet. Most of the members appear to have moved on to Kidneyspace and the NKF message board, but the main draw was the games.

and I dont think the people on homedialysiscentral like me.....I've tried posting on there a few times long ago...I might have to again. I contacted the nocturnal doctor in Austrilla (i think), Dr. Agar, about my book, and he told me to post on there....

More information is good, but I don't think it is very cool to come to IHD and solicit members.

There should not be a problem in talking about other sites..... there are many other sites that have been talked about on this site.....   DSEN.... Nxstage.....  different webinars....  NKF.....     I would think that this site along with the people would be secure enough to accept the fact that there are other sites...... and Its ok ...... after all there are Moderators here at IHD that are members of other sites......

A lot of us are very familiar with the previous admins and mods there.  And have been members on their site.   Both postitions take a huge amount of time, especially the administrator.  Keeping a site safe, spam free, etc. takes a great deal of time.   I hope you do it if you feel like  this is something you can do to help.

I disagree.  Epoman often went to other such sites to inform members about his site.  In fact I found out about this site when he posted about it on the Davita boards.

Kidneyfun.com is now closed.  If you have pics or posts you want go get them soon.  I pulled my journal entries into a Word file.  It looks like it is going down permanently.  Gamecock put a huge announcement up on the board.
