This is dedicated to you "LifeOnHold". See, I told you this site would make a difference. Rest in peace.

A few months ago, a writer from Nephrology News & Issues contacted me and told me one of the editors saw my site and wanted to feature it in an article. :o Here is the email I received:

Quote
Hello,
I'm a writer for Nephrology News & Issues magazine.  It is predominately a trade
magazine, but we frequently branch out into the patient world, and we have a
patient centered issue coming out in August.
Ever since one of our editors discovered the site, we have been brainstorming
story ideas for it, and before I go to my editor, I wanted check if you would
be willing to help out with an interview or perhaps some editorial.
If you are interested, please get back to me, and I can run some stuff by you,
and we can discuss some of the story ideas I have.

Thanks for your time,

Spencer Ho
Nephrology News & Issues

For those of you who do not know what this magazine is, well it's the number 1 magazine for the Nephrology profession here is a link to their online site: http://nephnews.com/ EVERYBODY in the profession reads this magazine, I mean EVERYONE. I sure you have seen the magazine at your clinic or doctors office. Spencer I exchanged several more emails over the last couple of months.

The Spencer asked me for some members views on the site, well I asked about 6 of you guys but unfortunately he only choose 4 members of the site and they are: Rerun, bajanne2000, hyperlite, Sara and of course me. I had no control over who he would pick for the article so I am sorry if your editorial did not get picked. But even though you were not picked remember people will read the magazine and come read your posts. I wish I could have had them interview all of our members but of course that would have taken the whole magazine.

Below are low-resolutions of the article, be sure to download the PDF file below to read the 3 page editorial.

I am very excited about this and I can't wait till I see the actual issue in my hands. This is not the big surprise I've been talking about, that is being saved for our 1 year anniversary. So stay tuned. I have more surprises up my sleeve.  :)

Also I would like to personally thank all of our members from the bottom of my heart, this would have never been possible without YOU.

It's great to see this can make a difference in ways none of us can imagine!

I hope the extra exposure the site will be getting will help the profession have a better understanding of the patient side of things.

This is fantastic.  Congrats to you Epoman for all the hard work you have put into this site, this is most deserved.  Hopefully even a handful of those Nephros that read that article will go to the site and see for themselves what the patients really think.  They are the ones with the power to make a change.  Hopefully the old saying the squeaky wheel gets the grease is true and they realize there is a need for more than what they are providing.

Congratulations Epoman  8).  You deserve all the credit. You´ve made a great site for us to learn from. Maybe the professionals will learn our side, now. Thanks loads.

When you give a person information they can use, you change their future, and the world.  You deserve the recognition, and far more.  Congratulations!!

Congrats Epoman.

I did an interview with them earlier this year, and thought they were very professional folks in their approach to things.

I look forward to reading it in print (as my screen resolution is making it a tad too small right now!) :)

Again, congrats.
