Congratulations Epoman. This site ROCKS! I hope members realize the costs associated with running a site such as this. Donate if you are able, to help Epoman keep this site running.

I am going to see if we can be listed in the "Combined Federal Campaign" for donations.

Epoman, I cc'd you what I emailed the CFC Executives.

You would not believe what is listed in the booklet that Federal Workers can contribute to.

"Those who Love to Canoe"
"Gays and Lesbians who like to garden"

Well, not exactly, but close!

Looking back at this article shows how far we have come. We have lost some dear friends along the way, and survived the loss of our site's creator, Epoman. I just love to think how proud he must be to see what an impact his hard work has made.
It's an honor to serve as admin. Sometimes I get tired, it is so much work everyday to maintain the forum. And the responsibility is huge because our admin team is devoted to keep IHD going for years and years, as was Epoman's dream.

Thanks Bassman. I think we had 816 members when Epoman passed away. 1200 some when Goofynina died. So we have come a long way. Not every member is active and some fall away and some just don't like it here, but if just one person has been helped because of this site then it makes it all worth it. Many times we feel like giving up especially when at times it can be such a thankless job, and sometimes we feel we just can't make anyone happy. But then every once in awhile someone like you comes along and reminds us just how important our existence is. We are committed to keeping this site running past our lifetime. That was Epomans vision and the administration team here aims to fulfill that vision at all cost.

We have the best moderators here than any other site I know.  All Volunteer their time for free. I can not be more thankful.

Well I can tell you this site sure has help me a lot.  I knew nothing about dialysis, what to expect, what to ask, what to look for and I sure as heck didn't know I should speak up when things didn't seem right. I know this site has change my husbands life for the better.  One day me and my soon to be husband were moving into our new home, the next he came down with what he thought was the flu.  My first visit to the renal center with my husband to find out about Nxstage, and the social worker gave me this site.  I spend months just creeping and reading and then I finally joined.  What a great bunch of people!  Thank you!!
