Drinking kitty reminds me of a cat I looked after for a friend about 5 years ago. Simba is an ginger kitty with quite some talents... apart from wanting to snuggle under the blankets with me the other thing he liked to do was drink from a glass! What he'd do is stand by a glass of water, then dip his paw in it, scoop the water out and lick it off... much like a human might do. He'd never stick his face in the glass or anything like that.. just keep dipping his paw in and pulling the water out to drink.

A really sweet kitty. I didn't want to give him back when his owner returned... but that experience paved the way for me to get my own.. and now I have Celeste... or should I say she has me! LOL

Yep. Well I think I've said it here before but I'm almost certain that having Celeste lowered my stress levels and BP and probably saved me from dialysis for a year or so. Of course there's no way to know for sure but it's a gut feeling.

I love my kitty :)

My new kitten is a girl and she is VERY vocal. That is why she ended up with the name MewMew because that is the sound she makes all day. My last cat, Raja, was male and he would "talk" back to certain people if they talked to him. I miss those conversations!

I had a cat, Casper, who adored ice. Everytime he would hear one of us getting ice from the ice machine on the fridge door, he would come running from wherever he was and wait until you put a cube or two in his bowl. MewMew drinks from the toilet (ugh!) when my husband leaves it open.

TynyWonder, I finally posted the 2 I have on YouTube. I will have to take a better video sometime. I used my phones camera on these two, but will try my regular camera next time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErbdhqHza8I

Those were cute videos, Chris!    I especially liked the second one where she is STILL thirsty and crawls up your leg!     ;D   Let me know when you post anymore.    Thanks for sharing these tho too!

I love the name Mew Mew
Sad Sack drinks from the toilet and she has bowls of fresh water
she stopped drinking out of the swimming pool when she fell in and had to swim out
Yogi still drinks from the pool
Slugger has fresh water and she cries at the sink until we turn it on
anytime she can not find me she meows and cries until I am located
we had a cat Putt Putt for 16- 18 years she sounded nice when she was in heat------ like Celina Deon  ( that does not look right)
them we had Homer and she sounded horrible

My cat too drinks from the toilet AND also the bathroom faucet and yes, I do leave water bowls out for them both!    ;)

My boy cat also likes to dip his paw in his water bowl & lick the water off of his paws.   I think it is adorbale!

Ming jumps in the bathtub and helps herself to the leaky water there in the tub. She is why the leak has not been fixed.

Besides drinking from a bottle, our male cat will drink from the sink. He stopped drinking from the toilet after getting in trouble for it many times, or that I would not want to be near him when he did that until his teeth and tongue where cleaned.

While cleaning up files on my computer I found old (well 2005) movies of the first day we had our female kitten. Now she is much bigger, hairier/puffier, and lazier in 3 year time.

I finally have photos of my cats to show you.  The gray tabby is Alpine and the one with the white patches is Coco - both are cats named by my son who got them for his 11th birthday.  That was just before Sept. 11th 2001, a very sad time.  Those sweet little kittens really helped to get us through those awful days.  Even in the worst of times, you have to smile when kittens are rollicking on the floor.

Yeah really Pelagia, you know there's nothing to compare with petting and snuggling up to a nice pet fish.  No purring maybe but you'd probably get used to the gasping.  Good one Twirl.  I thought she was simply a snail person, remember how she loved your snail avatar?   :rofl;

We have four cats... YIKES  4.

Sabre-minimo-jake & Spanky.

We call them the insiders.  We also have what we calll outsiders.  And there are a few of them.  They are ferril but we do our best to cage them and get them fixed.  One more female and we should have NO MORE KITTENS coming our way.
As wel as the outsiders and i will have to post pics.  We have skunks-apposums-groundhogs and Raccoons.  I have photos of all these animlas eating out of the same food dish at the same time.  It is very strange to say the least.   But they all getalong very fine together.

Last summer we had a new addition to our outside pet family.
I was bringing back the garbage can from the curb and saw a big stick.  I went to toss the stick in the stick pile.  We have a big yard with many trees.
Well as i got closer to the stick it started to move....  It was/is a 5 foot Boa.  Well i got the camera and took video of it.  Called the police to come get it.  Hour or so later a officer came and said he culdnt do anything.  I says well cal animal control he did.  and LOL  they were on strike.  So the officer left i went in to get a drink came back out and he was gone.   Have a video of the snake on myspace if interested.  Im not very technical and am not sure if this site does video??
I dont know if he will survive a Jersey winter.??
But i hope he does.

Ps..  im over my snake fear.  If i were to see him again i wuld pick him up...

That photo I would like to see!  :rofl;

As far as video, the way we do ithere is usually post it on YouTube and then post a link in the forum for people to click on. If you post photos, just remember to read the topic on resizing photos to post in the forum correctly. I will find that post post later and post the link here when I am out of class.

Down here if you see a stick that movies the best advice is to stand totally still and let them slither off. Given Australia has something like 9 out of the top 10 deadly snakes in the world it's always best to respect those guys and keep well away. Just the other day a woman at the races was bitten on the toe by a tiger snake (but she did win fashions on the field!!! LOL)

Nope, but could be a couple things causing it. Either not signed in, recent Internet Setting change, and the other known issues that can cause it is skipping my mind. I know I found this out on Yahoo many many years ago. Ask them if this is the only site they are having trouble on or other websites, emails, ect.

It worked Paul.  A big slithery snake it was too.  What happened to it in the end?  Beautiful markings.
