Man time flies, it just seems like yesterday when I was taking him to kindergarten. My son is awesome, I love him so much he is my ROCK my foundation. He is a very bright and gifted boy. I hope GOD gives me the strength to stick around until he at least finishes high school. I volunteer at his school every week and I have gotten to know a lot of the teachers at the school and man the teachers are great ALL OF THEM.

Going through life tied to a chair!

« Reply #3 on: September 09, 2005, 09:44:35 PM »

I think that is awesome.  I think if I had kids I would have a reason to live.  As I looked around the unit tonight I thought "what a waste of tax payer's money."  But, then, just because I don't have any reason to live doesn't mean these people don't have kids starting 3rd grade today.  My two little Minature Pinschers are keeping me going, but I'm starting to look at dog shelters!   8)

Your post makes me sad. :( But it's true my son gives me the will to fight and go on. My son brings me a lot of happiness (my wife too, in case she's reading this ;)) I wish I was healthy I would have at least 2 more kids.

I know you started this some time ago but I had to check it out as I have kids my self and I know what you mean.

All be it mine are not little any more but I'm pretty sure that is a big part of what kept me going all these years. I was diagnosed when they were only babies so I had to keep going no matter what.

They are now 25,23 and baby will be 21 in July  :o I can hardly believe it.

Where does the time go?

Time really flies.  Epokid has now finished 3rd grade, hasn't he?  Why were his aunties and uncles here on IHD not informed of how he did?  4th grade coming up!!!

Yes, he is an amazing young man. I was worried a couple times during the year, but when the teacher told me a week before he knew, I was very excited. I made him sweat it out for a week even after I find out.  ;D I expect only A's from him and he knows it. He is one spoiled kid, he has every popular electronic thing known, he has his own Computer W/internet, TV, Sony PSP, Gamecube, XBOX, IPOD, DVD, Nintendo DS, CD's, ALL in his room, and he knows it ALL goes away if he does not do GREAT in school. All I ask from him is to get great grades.
