Thanks to all who said "Just do it!"    :grouphug;      I enjoyed myself even though I slept most of the time!    :-\   Oh well.

I gained absolutely no weight, took a "Hairspray" dance class, watched and listened to others make fools of themself at the karioke bar (loved it) and swam with a dolphin named "Estefan".  We missed all other activities.  But I loved the cruise nonetheless.

As soon as I get my photos in the computer I'll post some!   :pics;

Wonderful. I'm glad you went. Might as well have some big fun now and then. No point in letting this disease scare you into submission.
Can't wait to see pictures.

You said it!    :clap;

Here is a picture of my husband on the "sports deck" at the top of the ship the first night out (Thursday).  This is from my video camera.  I'll take my 35 mm film in tomorrow, along with the underwater camera and post more then (if they're good).

So fun!!

I should know this, but did you do hemo dialysis on the ship?  Sorry, I can't keep up on everyone and what type they do and don't do.

I do in-center nocturnal if anyone is wondering right now???

No, I'm pre-dialysis.  I'm not sure if Carnival does dialysis cruises.  I'll have to look into that.

Donnia, take a short cruise out of Galveston like this.  The water is not rough in the Gulf unless there is a storm or something.  We barely knew we were on a ship most of the time.  The last full day it rained and it got a little rocky for about 15-30 minutes.  And by a little rocky I mean just barely swaying right and left.  Nothing bad.   Other than that, it was smooth sailing.

I tried to post another photo, but apparently they are too big and I don't know how to shrink them.  I'll ask hubby.

Kelly, I am so glad you had a good time.    You got to swim with the dolphins! :yahoo;  Now you can check that off your "to do" list.  So, what is your next adventure going to be?   I really am happy you went on the cruise and it all turned out well.    :2thumbsup;

Great picture. Here is a resizing software that is free. I'm not sure if it's compatible with Vista or not.

Lovely pic.
Rita and I went on a cruise (I was pre dialysis then) and one of the places we visited was cozumel. It's a real charming little place and I'll always remember it.

This is the dolphin we "swam" with in Cozumel.  His name is Esteban.   I just put my underwater disposable camera under the water and started snapping away.  This is the only photo that turned out.  He moves really fast and the other photos are just of his tail!  ha ha  The second photo is my husband getting a kiss from Esteban.  I don't think I posted these yet.  If these are duplicated, I'm so sorry!

kellyt,

Great pics of your cruise.  I'm excited and nervous about my cruise coming this Dec. 6th-11th.  I'm on PD going on almost 1 yr.  I'm nervous about Baxter delivering my supplies. I've been told they do this all the time.  So I pray they don't mess up my delivery because I hate to get to Miami and I have to come back home because I don't have my PD supplies.

Good Luck!  My cruise wasn't a dialysis cruise, as I'm pre-dialysis.  But I sure do hope you have a great time and everything is delivered on time.  Surely there is someone here that can give you some tips on guaranteeing delivery.

Where is your cruise going?  Mine was out of Galveston, TX.  But the very first cruise I went on was a Carnival Cruise out of Miami.  That one went to the Bahamas.

I will be cruising on Carnival Destiny leaving Miami and port of calls at Ocho Rios Jamaica and Grand Cayman Islands.  I don't think it's considered a dialysis cruise.  It's just that they accommodate cruisers with special needs.
