Well, no more kiddy programming for me! Our center has finally decided we're not four year olds and given us VH1 Classic and MTV2, which carry programming that is definitely not G-rated. And they even showed an R-rated action movie today. Hopefully this continues for my duration at this place. A step in the righr direction. Now can they get rid of crummy phosporous bingo?

Hopefully that will go away for you, and you get some better channels.

We got some more channels too in our unit. Now I have TNT, TBS, USA, ESPN 1 and 2, And TVLand along with the usual channels. Not much but it is better than a hit to the head!

Well, they took away our VH1 Classic again and are back to showing kiddy movies for alll of us poor little mentally deficient dialysis patients. I hope to hell I get a transplant soon, because I don't know how much more of that prison (otherwise known as Dialysis Specialists (yeah right!) of NorthEast Ohio) I can take. I hate that place so much it's unreal.

Did they say why they took it away? I say complain, complain, complain and go as high as you can in management to do so. All the best Kitsune. What a drag to get something you like only to have it taken back.

I agree with monrein, COMPLAIN COMPLAIN COMPLAIN!
Then get the big stick out and
I would hate that center too if all they had were kiddy programs to suffer through. What were they thinking when they took the other channels away.? What was there, one loan idiot who craves kiddy programs?

We have a mentally retarded 23 year old with the mental state of a six year old at our center. I have heard from others that it has something to do with "setting an example for him" if we only watch things that are appropriate for children. Hello!! We all have our own little TV's at our chairs. Or maybe they think he'll tune in to one of "those" channels if they don't block them. So, one person ruins it for all of us, I guess. He really should be at a pediatric center or something, an adult center is really not the place for this guy.

Well a pediatric ward would be the wrong place due to his size and unknown strength over the other children. However, where to place him is a tough call and I have no idea. I never had that sort of problem at my center. But I know they can block channels, IT"S CALLED PARENTERAL CONTROL on these boxes. All they have to do is take a little time, heaven forbid to set it up and turn it off when the next person comes in. Ruining it for everyone else is a mistake and maybe a petition needs to be started to show how many dislike the channel availability. I'm sure that if he lives with his parents that they are not watching kiddy programs all day and night.

We have one mentally retarded guy but all he wants to watch is " ball games". It doesn't matter who's playing or what the sport is, it keeps him happy.
