Angelwoman's kidney and the wedding

This is from living donors online, posted by a member named angelwoman. When I looked at the photo of Alyssa and her 3 donors, it made me sob out loud. To know that so many people are willing to put themselves at risk to help one young woman is incredibly moving. I pray Alyssa and Randy have many happy years together. God bless living donors!
Here's the post:
Many of of you may remember that I donated my kidney to a non-related woman (Alyssa) March 6th. Well, here is an update:
If you have been following my journey through my donation you will know that during the testing, evaluation and donation process I have been focusing on the fact that my recipient was engaged to be married May 17th of this year. I really wished that the process would allow her time enough to heal and feel good during what should be the best day of her life.
I don't have adequate words to describe the beauty of Alyssa's wedding. It was not traditional, it was open and honest and real. A small country church with people who love the family. They played country music for the processions, not the Wedding March. A friend sang " I loved Her First", a perspective from the father of the groom. Oh land, let me tell you there was not a dry eye in the church of 200 people, including the groom! Alyssa had 14 people standing up with them, dressed in the pastel colors of the rainbow.
The bulletin they handed out not only spelled out the details of the ceremony and the names of the attendants, but had a special area where they acknowledged to donors. Remember, my kidney was Alyssa's third in 19 years. They gave all the donors dark green carnations to wear and stated in the bulletin that we were wearing the green flowers and that without us all the day may not be possible.
Wedding at 2, dinner at 5 and dance at 8, we had a blast the whole night! I am including the best of my pictures to give you all a taste of the while event. I could not be more proud of my recipient and her new husband Randy!
