I have never had a problem with needles.  I gave blood many times before kidney failure.  Those are pretty darn big needles and I don't blame you for not trying this time.  I think I could if I had too but I don't so i won't.

   I have got to get passed the needle thing.... I start training on tuesday with Nxstage.....  I know I can do it...  I have to do it...... Its a matter of freedom.....  I love my freedom.......I need my freedom.....  I will suceed.....

 :oops; Typo was suppose to be "Is she doing ok?"  Like I said , if I could type I'd be dangerous. Greetings, again, this time from dialysis where the typing is all one handed and prone to more errors.

wasn't the surgery only two days ago... I'm sure she isn't able to write.  I guess her kids don't know about us.

Tyefly  -just take your time.  You'll be ready when you're ready.  Remember - needles are our friends..... ( I don't believe that for a minute by the wat - but you could try it)

Diagnosed Nov 2007 with Multiple Myeloma.
By Jan 2008 was in end stage renal failure and on haemodialysis.
Changed to CAPD in April 2008.  Now on PD with a cycler.  Working very part time - teaching music.  Love it.  Husband is Paul (we're both 46), daughter Molly is 13.

I cringe when I read tyefly's post about sticking herself. I couldn't do it, those needles are big and blunt compared to other needles.

Neuropathy in legs age 10

Eye impairments and blindness in one eye began in 95, major one during visit to the Indy 500 race of that year
   -glaucoma and surgery for that
     -cataract surgery twice on same eye (2000 - 2002). another one growing in good eye
     - vitrectomy in good eye post tx November 2003, totally blind for 4 months due to complications with meds and infection

Diagnosed with ESRD June 29, 1999
1st Dialysis - July 4, 1999
Last Dialysis - December 2, 2000

Kidney and Pancreas Transplant - December 3, 2000

Cataract Surgery on good eye - June 24, 2009
Knee Surgery 2010
2011/2012 in process of getting a guide dog
Guide Dog Training begins July 2, 2012 in NY
Guide Dog by end of July 2012
Next eye surgery late 2012 or 2013 if I feel like it
Home with Guide dog - July 27, 2012
Knee Surgery #2 - Oct 15, 2012
Eye Surgery - Nov 2012

  So True.....     I have alot of respect to those people who stick theirselves....  I mean    sticking someone else is one thing..... but sticking your self.....is frightening.....   I had a hard time giving myselve my b-12 shots....  one day it took me over a hour   just stairing at the needle  and my leg....   

   But I will win..... and untill Des is back   She can win.......   Come back Des
