Find Aleta's pool.  She'll let you take a dip, I'm sure.

I can't imagine being without air conditioning.  I'd be miserable.  I'd probably go hang out at the mall for the day.

It is already in the upper 80's and it is only 9am Texas time. I can imagine the rest of the day... It is gonna be a HOT one they already called for "State of Emergency" status in Houston due to some people that do not have AC have passed due to the Heat.  It is really hot here way to hot.. I can't remember the last time it was this hot for so long. We usually got some kind of rain. BUT NOTHING.

Getting the heck out of town.

« Reply #16954 on: June 26, 2009, 07:13:01 AM »

Thanks folks, but the air is working find.  Now I have to go get in the air condition  car and visit the little shop of horrors (recliner ville). But all the parking there is in a huge paved open space.  It will take the car AC a few miles to cool it off....

I'm ok until I go out =-- also high ozone levels.  Old and sick people  should not go out.  I'm both but gotta go I guess.  Any body know good excuses for skipping the dread recliner?

The pool is ready for anyone who wants a swim!

Today it is cloudy with a chance of meatballs (you teachers will know that reference!)

I think you need to explain the "meatballs" reference.

Gets down to 98 over the weekend.  Yea.  Weatherbug says heat alert and ozone alert and to stay inside if you are old or sick.  Obviously I'm not old but does kidney failure count as sick?

Well, better to anyway.

Meatballs-

There is a children's book called "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" that was recently made into a movie. We watched the trailer for it while our granddaughter was here and she was distressed at how unlike the book even that short piece was.

This book was a favorite of her mom's as a kid. Her mom was also distressed that it had been made into a movie.  :P

Dan, could you possibly teleport to dialysis this afternoon so you don't have to get into a hot, hot car? My teleporting machine is on the fritz or I would use it for trips to Massachusetts.
