It's a good news/ bad news sort of day twice in one day. One from doctor visit and the other from guide dog school.
Instead of going to California, they are sending me to Oregon due to the airport I prefer to use at this time due to road construction leaving a 2 mile plus detour to get to airport and having a non stop flight. While it is not bad news, it is disappointing because I had my heart set on California. I hope to change that when I get there.

its sounds still okay, you can allways go to California with the dog later? Do I hear that you 'sound' a bit better?

After yesterday's excursion fiasco of lightheadedness going thru Bass Pro Shops, I took the pup on a longer walk today. I'm worn out and so is he for once!

well, being worn out from physical exersion is good, feels like building up stamina exercise. Are you, and the pup hungry?

Hay Chris, wishing you all the best for your trip Wednesday. I didn't want to forget to say that, so a day early is better than too late, I think. Good luck babes.

Guide Dog further evaluation did not go well, pretty much from the start wth the person who was doing the evaluation. I use my cane to well to need a guide dog is one comment she said and that I am to detail/analytical to use a guide dog effectively. She said even tho it is a new city that I never been to before and didn't know area, that should not be one of my concerns. It also seems asking a question after she mentions something is wrong to do. f this was the case, she should have just shut up and let me do the trial run or do it again while she stays quiet and acts like a guide dog. It was a bad experience and hope to either complain or talk to someone in the main office. She seemed rude right from the start.

On the positive side, I did finally get to meet another person who has had a k/p yx and similar experiences of becoming a diabetic, when our eye sight deteriorated, years of transplant. So we exchanged emails. Unfortunatelly she live to far away! :banghead;

Anyway I sent an email to the facility that did accept me fully to see if t was to late to send letter in and to see if I need doctor letters, but still hoping to hear back from the main facility of my first choice in guide dog facilities after I share my concerns.

So I should have a guide dog by the end of July when I go with second choice in guide dog facilities.
