Diabetes -  age 7

Neuropathy in legs age 10

Eye impairments and blindness in one eye began in 95, major one during visit to the Indy 500 race of that year
   -glaucoma and surgery for that
     -cataract surgery twice on same eye (2000 - 2002). another one growing in good eye
     - vitrectomy in good eye post tx November 2003, totally blind for 4 months due to complications with meds and infection

Diagnosed with ESRD June 29, 1999
1st Dialysis - July 4, 1999
Last Dialysis - December 2, 2000

Kidney and Pancreas Transplant - December 3, 2000

Cataract Surgery on good eye - June 24, 2009
Knee Surgery 2010
2011/2012 in process of getting a guide dog
Guide Dog Training begins July 2, 2012 in NY
Guide Dog by end of July 2012
Next eye surgery late 2012 or 2013 if I feel like it
Home with Guide dog - July 27, 2012
Knee Surgery #2 - Oct 15, 2012
Eye Surgery - Nov 2012
Lifes Adventures -  Priceless

As I was coming out the Nephrologist office, I thought the sky was falling.
Knew I was going on dialysis since November 1999.
Had a fistula put in January 2000.
Been on 4-1/2 hour dialysis since August 28, 2001. (They took out 35Kg that single week)

Maria hasbeen on hemodualysis since January, 2005

I srepped out this morning at 5:30am and it felt WONDERFUL :bandance;  :bandance; :bandance;. It was 54 degrees. It supposed to be that tomorrow morning also.

64F (17.7C), and cloudy today.  This is quite an improvement from Saturday: 94F (34C) and ridiculous humidity.  I think summer's finally taking a break.  Of course, since I'm in the South, we rarely have cold weather.  We only have 2 seasons here: summer, and just about summer.

It is a beautiful morning, I woke up to 55 degrees at 7am. Those living in Calif, really have it bad temperature wise.  :2thumbsup;

In California we had one of the coolest summers on record, felt like spring the whole time! So a little heat now is ok - looks like today the heatwave is broken (94 instead of 113!)
