Kathy, my younger son is obsessed with rocks! He walked in this morning and handed me one as a present. They are everywhere in our house. When this phase passes, I will just place them all outside somewhere.

Aleta, we use freecycle.org to get rid of things. It can be a tad time-consuming, but a lot of things that charities will not want, like older or even non-working electronics, will find a home on freecycle. The primary rule is everything you offer must be free. I need to start freecycling all of these toys that the kids have stopped using.

Great idea, Cariad.

I have all of my mother's stuff, Carl's mother's stuff and much of my dad's, too. I'll have to hang on to his until he is gone, in case he wants it back. LOL. He doesn't have room for any of it, but he keeps tabs on it!

But now, it's time for a SWIM!

I think David has gone.  I truly hope something bad hasn't happened to him.  No-one would be just away this long would they?  Everyone has pm'd and there's nothing else that can be done.  We might never know what happened to him.  I'm gonna pm him one more time.  Moderators - don't you have an actual email for him?  Does he not reply to that either?  I really thought at first it was that he was annoyed at the who is David13 thread, but now I'm just really worried.  He wouldn't just go away forever for that reason - so something must have happened.  Oh dear.

Good Afternoon IHD - Hope everyone is having a great day.

I also miss David13 but truth be known I also disappeared for a few months after my transplant due to complications and then again after I went back to work.  Unfortunately sometimes life things happen to interrupt online stuff.  I hope all is well with David.  I know he cheered up everyone's day who came to this thread.

Okarol is the one who keeps the contact information and David never shared any contact info.  If you haven't pmd Okarol with your emergency contact number, now would be a good time to do it.

Not in a good mood today. I am inexplicably exhausted after getting around 9 hours of sleep last night - even slept straight through my husband getting the kids off to school, which is like sleeping though a parade.

I have an open house with my older son this afternoon to get acquainted with his new school, which starts tomorrow. He is nervous. He worked so hard to get into this school - it is dual immersion (English and Spanish) and they normally do not accept students after K5, but they made room for him even though they are over capacity. He starts there as a second grader. He is amazing.

Thanks, Aleta! Y muchas gracias, Marc!

We met my son's teacher - a very, very young Peruvian. My son is a guy's guy, so I am happy that his teacher is male. My Spanish tutor who just left the state was also from Peru. I am developing a strong preference for Peruvian instructors.   :clap;
