Good Morning IHD - beautiful fall day in Vermont.  Temp about 45 this morning but weatherman promises a warm up to at least 70.  We have had no rain in four days - a record dry period since May or early June.  Nights are good for sleeping - evenings great for walking.  All in all a beautiful day.

Have a great day everyone

Slywalker, can you post a pic of the beautiful Vermont fall foliage?  That is one thing I do miss about New England.

Evening, evening!

Slywalker, we get to go to Western Mass every year during leaf peeper season. Our daughter lives in Lenox and we visit during fall break. Always so pretty. But one year the leaves just hadn't peaked so we thought we'd drive up into Vermont. Nope, not there, either. We just kept going until we had passed Lake Champlain and just kept on into Canada.  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

A totally disappointing fall color year until we got back to Tennessee. There is no place like home!

Afternoon.......

I have good news and bad news.

Good news ... I just got promoted to Admin manager - I will be running a dept with 10 staff members. Cool! (more preassure though) At least they did not discriminate against my ckd. ( I have to stay as healthy as I can be now.)

Bad news ... I am having the angiogram tomorrow... so scared and my left kidney is hurting like hell.  Maybe its stress. heheheh :)

Aw, Des. I love the good news. Not so great on the bad news.

My bad news is that we have a confirmed case of swine flu in the school and I had to call every single parent this morning. Ugh! Two major school systems in this county have been shut down until next Tuesday because of the flu.

Congratulations on the job Des, and good luck with that angiogram.

Aleta, how scary! I am hoping and hoping that the flu passes quietly out of your life....

I have bad news, too: my husband may be unemployed as of tomorrow. The company he contracts with has been waiting on their investors to put up this huge amount of money for weeks. Early this week, the owner told Gwyn that if the investors do not come through by Friday, the company will close. Oh, and worse, the owner hasn't paid my husband for six weeks of work, and if the company declares bankruptcy, I don't expect we will ever see that money. Very depressed!  >:(

I do feel better by coming here, though.  :waving;

Greetings everyone - I hope the sun is shining where you are.  We have had now five (or six) days of sun with no rain.  A record, A record I tell you.

I'll post some pictures sometime along.  If foliage doesn't turn out well this year, I have some pics from previous years.

Des congrats on the promotion.  I am a manager and have to supervise - sometimes it is a big UGH, sometimes it is fun as can be.

Bad news in the previous three responses - UGH to that too.  Swine flu?  Double whammy this year with a regular flu and H1N1 at the same time.  Extra work this year to stay healthy.

Caraid..... OH my! on the hubby.... that is not good .

Aletta.... swine flu is really getting a huge issue... I am holding thumbs that it doesn't cause havoc.

I am off and will pop in tomorrow night to report back on the angio...from the home computer.

ps it is now 7 pm and I am still working.......

Des, congratulations and good luck!
Cariad, I am sorry to hear that, I will pray that the investors come through.
Aleta, hopefully it will only be the one case.  I just saw on the news last night that the IPhone has a new application that shows all the swine flu outbreaks near you.

I was hoping that with our small school we would dodge that Swine Flu bullet. Sigh.

I'll have my husband download that app, Marc. He has an iPod touch.

Have a good afternoon, everyone. This is our "off" day from dialysis and we are not having our scheduled staff meeting tonight, so we are really off!  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;
