me and my donor Joyce

« on: April 25, 2008, 06:11:54 AM »

 :yahoo; I finally have a date of transplant.  My primary ins. will lapse on April 30th, making Medicare my primary on May 1.  This means I can have my transplant in Lubbock.  Sooooo.... we have already set a date of June 5th!!!!!! :bandance;

I really like the people at Lubbock Covenant!  If anyone else has had any experience with them, I would like to hear about it.

That is wonderful! I wish you many, many years of health and happiness with your new kidney!  :clap;

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.
