Have any of you had problem's with remembering thing's since you've started getting sick with this disease? This is scary to me, just want to know if anyone else is having this problem too.

I have gone into rooms and forgotten what I wanted.  Is it the toxins or just me?

Going through life tied to a chair!

« Reply #6 on: July 05, 2006, 07:01:25 PM »

It is like my memory is "sluggish."  I will say that I did know something or "no body told me that" and then I'll start remembering that I did know and someone did tell me.  I would think it would be the toxins.

I have this same kind of problem all the time.  I figured it was just me trying to do too many things at the same time though.

My problem is working out whether mine is worse or it is just a continuation of my bad memory from childhood.

The memory loss is related to the chemical imbalances, so its normal, well for us anyway. My memory is really bad, like Len, I have to go back to what I was doing to remember what I was going to do, thats if I can remember what I was doing hahaha On a serious note, its not fun, my partner gets very frustrated with me as Im so forgetful. I understand his frustration, but sometimes I wish he would understand mine.

I have been like that all my life so who knows if I'm to blame or if it's the silly broken beans  >:D

But I did find a wonderful gadget to assist me in my everyday forgetful needs. A palm treo cellphone. I put my appointments, reminders for meds, notes and basically everything I could potentially forget.
The day that thing breaks or something dramatic like that happens my brain will be losing a very important assistant  :-X

I am only 32 and I have noticed that I forget everything! I hope it is related to Kidney Disease because I know this is not just in my head!!  :-[

I had a nurse tell me once that my memory loss was caused by the kidney disease... I was 22 at the time... I've lost whole bits of my childhood.. btw, I'm 28 now.. so I don't think age has anything to do with it..

really? I know I don't remember a lot of my childhood due to kidney disease but that was only cuz I was so out of it since birth that I only started having better memory with a kidney transplant I got when I was 16. But since I lost that transplant ... I have noticed my memory is not so good again even tho I am not so much back into that dopey state I once was.

awww I know what that is like :( People get frustrated with me as well. But I also get frustrated with others when I have to repeat myself. Actually .. anyone else have a hard time remembering nurses names?

Try to remember a classroom full of students every day!  I usually mix up one or two kids.
