Rookie girl - beautiful photo, you are stunning. Petey - thank you for explaining about Edith Bunker, I am truly honoured to be compared to such a character, I'm not sure that I am worthy of such a comparison although spookily I can't sing either - I remember when my boys were small and I'd sing along to the radio (I still do when I'm alone in the kitchen or the car) and they would say' oh please Mummy, don't sing' Out of the mouths of babes

Beautiful picture, rookiegirl! Rose -- it definitely is a compliment to say you remind us of Archie Bunker's wife, Edith. Her tv character was loving, honest, innocent, fun, patient, very wise (though she played a "naive" role), and extremely kind to all. She had beautiful eyes and a beautiful, warm, happy smile (even though she couldn't sing ). There is something about her that says "Rose." The fact that she was much older than you has nothing to do with it. True beauty (both inner and outer) is ageless. From what I've read, the lady who played Edith Bunker (Jean Stapleton) was just as loving and kind in real life.
Very nicely said, Petey

Wow! That picture of Jean Stapleton looks so much like my grandmother did! She was in her 80's and still didn't have a grey hair on her head. I miss her!
