2008 GAMES ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!

Visit www.transplantgames.org for more information about the programs
taking place during the Games.

* THE 2008 US TRANSPLANT GAMES *
The 2008 Games will be held July 11 -16, 2008 in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. The U.S. Transplant Games are an Olympic-style event held
every two years. They are the only national athletic competition for
recipients of life-saving organ transplants, and the largest gathering
of transplant recipients, donor families, and living donors in the
world.

The Games are more than a sporting event. They are a recognition of the
spirit behind organ and tissue donation and a celebration of the lives
that have been saved by donation and transplantation. They are an
opportunity for transplant recipients to celebrate their renewed life
and for donors and families to be honored for their gifts.

All living donors (of any organ or tissue) are invited to the 2008 U.S.
Transplant Games to celebrate life! Living donors can cheer on the
transplant athletes, meet other donors, find support and answers to your
questions about donation and transplantation, and be recognized for your
gifts of life.

Living donors are invited to attend the processional of living donors
during Opening Ceremonies, the Living Donor Recognition Event to
recognize the generosity and spirit of our nation's living donors,
"Coffeehouse Conversations" which is an open-mic forum where
people can share, and various Living Donor workshops. In addition,
living donors can cheer on their recipient and other transplant athletes
and see the impact of their gift in action! Everyone is also encouraged
to attend The Power of "People Like Us" workshop to learn how to be
strong, effective advocates for donation, transplantation and people
with kidney disease.

The David Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh is the 2008
Games Hub. The Living Donor workshops will take place at the Hilton
Downtown.

* REGISTRATION *
Each person who attends the Games is part of an official U.S.
Transplant Games Team representing your state or region. Each team is
organized by a local Team Manager. If you do not know who your team
manager is, then you can follow this link to find your team manager

The National Kidney Foundation will be hosting a special night at PNC

and to highlight the gift of life for Pirates fans. Join us for Organ
Donor Awareness Night on Friday, July 11th at 7:05PM as the Pirates host
the St. Louis Cardinals, and stay after the game for a fantastic
Zambelli fireworks display. Transplant athletes will be spotlighted on
the field and throughout the game. A portion of each ticket will go to
support the National Kidney Foundation's U.S. Transplant Games. For
more information and to order tickets, contact Chaz Kellem of the
Pirates at 412-325-4488 or chaz.kellem@pirates.com.
