You're saying to yourself not another Aussie :ausflag;

Now for my story, I am 38 yrs of age, I was diagnosed with kidney failure about a month ago, at last count I have 13% kidney function, unfortunately my diabetes doctor failed to notify me of my kidney function despite me complaining of symptoms for the past few years. I am still in a depressed state of mind although I have come to accept that I will be on dialysis in a few weeks.

For the past few weeks I have read many posts on IHD and have gathered much confidence to tackle my problems.

Take care.

Welcome Craig to ihatedialysis.com, I think knowing you are going to be on dialysis soon is a scary thing. Come here often and read posts, knowledge is power. We will be here every step of the way as you make that scary transition. The more you learn here will make the transition much easier. Hope to see you in the forums.

Welcome to our community!  :grouphug; And a special welcome from a fellow Commonwealth citizen!  We always have space for another Aussie, except when they are beating the Windies at cricket!!
You are a very fortunate person.  This website is just the place for anyone just before they start dialysis.  I know, because it made a whole difference in my handling of it.  So read as much as you can, especially some of the old posts in Frequently Asked Questions.  then ask some of your own.  This site has become a sharing, caring, loving family, so there are people just waiting to  help you along.  so take advantage of all this site has to offer.
