Introduction of Northerner
«
on:
January 21, 2008, 05:46:45 PM »
Administrator, Sluff, recommended I create a new thread introducing myself.
Hi, I am Northerner. My wife has been on dialysis for about 3 1/2 years, this time. We started NxStage in December so am pretty much a newbie!
Wife has had two transplants, first in 1985 the second in 1997.
We live in Northern Michigan and our Dialysis Center is Petoskey, MI.
Not much more to tell.

Hey, someone from my center! Hi Northerner - how's the nxStage going? I was the second patient that Lisa trained - I've been home since August and I love it! I don't miss that awful drive in the snow to Petoskey at all, do you?

Welcome to my favorite website, Northerner!
Northerner's wife and I are both patients at the same clinic. We're in the first half dozen patients leading the way with the new NxStage program there. They weren't offering home hemo at all when I started last year. Thankfully, enough of us stomped our feet and demanded it that the staff there helped us get it started!

Welcome to IHD. I'm sure you have a lot to tell. There is a section just for NxStage users. Go there and add what you've learned. Bless your heart for being a spouse that cares enough to come online to learn about the dialysis world.

Welcome Northerner to ihatedialysis.com,
Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. IHD is a great place to learn more about transplants and dialysis and kidney disease in general. You will find a lot of information here on just about every subject you can think of related to ESRD. Nxstage has really brought dialysis home for a lot of our members and they all have nothing but good things to say about Nxstage from feeling more energy to adding more freedom to their schedule. Give your wife a hug from all of us here at ihatedialysis.com
and when you get the chance you can check out our sister site
www.ilovenxstage.com
See you in the forums.
