I have a very dear friend who lives in Surprise Arizona. Her and her husband needed some help in redoing their condo so i said yes and before i knew it i was on a plane to Arizona. The flight over was a little crowded and someone on the flight had a little gas. My friends i don't know if you have ever been on a flight where someone has gas but that odor stays with you the whole flight. I'm still trying to wash it out of my clothes! I'm a bit afraid of heights but couldn't help look out the window. It was evening so all i could see were lights but it was beautiful. My friend Marie picked me up at the airport. Due to the time change from Philly i was tired and wanted to hang one of those pine scents from my nose. I was there from Tuesday to Tuesday and i think we did around three days work on the condo. On Wednesday, Friday and Monday i had to go to dialysis and went to a center around a mile and a half from where they lived. The Fresenius center was twice the size of the one i usually go to. I was a little nervous because of where my fistula is but they were able to stick me with ease. One tech was so fast i didn't even know she was in. One thing this center had was flat screen TV's with a computer. I wore my ihatedialysis.com t-shirt and the one nurse wanted to join our site. The computer was great. Although some of Keefer's more adult sites weren't allowed to be shown. [darn!] The other time was spent traveling around. I went to many cities around where they lived. We stayed over in the beautiful town called Sedona. Because i never saw a real live cactus before i have several thousand pictures of yours truly standing next to one. I also bought a couple of t-shirts and scorpions in a globe. What a tourist huh? My trip was great. I hope to visit again someday. Next time though on the flight over i will smear Vicks vapor rub under my nose. If i go when it is winter in Pennsylvania i will leave a winter coat in my truck. I was the only idiot in a t-shirt and jeans standing outside at Philly international waiting for my truck. Don't ya just love when you are standing in Twenty degree weather shivering and shaking from the cold and someone comes up and says; "Are you cold?" Although it was nice to be home i would rather be in the warm weather of Arizona.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

Glad you had a great time. When I was in Arizona we went out to the desert and I learned the golden rule. When you are in the desert never, and I mean never walk backwards. You no doubt will wind up with a butt full of cactus needles... :o  >:(  Boxman
