I just had the most wonderful dinner with George Jung!!!!  My daughters, Melissa and Beth and Melissa's 2 (Ezekiel and Paxton) ,myself and George had a great time and spent almost 2 1/2 hours talking and laughing together.   George is great and I am so glad we got to meet. We all agreed to get together often. We never had a dull moment and even our waiter joined in. I finally asked if he was an organ donor and what type blood did he have!!  He brought over another waitress who was a stem cell donor to her brother.  It was on of the nicest evenings I have had.  Oh yeah--did I mention how good-looking George is?  Ask my daughters!  You know how sometimes you meet someone and they just don't feel like a stranger?  That was how I felt about George. Can't say enough good things about him.  Thanks to IHD, I got to meet this great guy :grouphug;

OMG!!! in the words of our famous Epoman  T.T.I,W.W.O.P = this thread is worthless without PICS  :pics; :pics; :pics;  Aye yi yi, how many times do we have to tell you, get pics, if you cant get pics then get video, if you cant get video get fingerprints, if you cant get fingerprints, well, DNA is totally out of the question, lol,   :urcrazy;

That is so awesome Paris, i am so glad you and George (and the family) finally got to meet, and it sounds like it went very well.  Oooooh, wait until Amanda finds out, lol,  eh, no worries, i'll let her take a peek at the Rimbo Bros. in their Kilts ;) ;)

We were having such a good time--we forgot the pictures!   We are getting together again, so we will have a photographer, news media- whatever it takes to get a picture :rofl; :rofl;

It was a terrific meeting and I felt right at home with Paris and her family.  They are very good, fun loving people and I am glad to have shared the evening with them.  I have a "phobia" of commitment but we are thinking of getting together at least every other week.  It was very nice to read the kind remarks from Paris on this thread, I am at a loss for words (if you can believe that) but the feeling is mutual.   If Paris were to invite me for a meal at her home I would not be one bit apprehensive about accepting, she is a fine lady.

I think she tends to exaggerate a bit though, you all know I'm not that nice or good looking.  ;)

Thank you Paris.  XOXOXO George

Definitely had a wonderful time last night -- Despite modesty - George is a very sweet guy, sorry, did I just blow a cover, I mean he was rude and didn't talk through the whole meal.   ;)

I find it odd that I have you people as friends and am willing to fly all the way to Las Vegas to meet, yet I don't know anyone at my own center.  I go there "get er' done" and leave. (with my cup of ice)

Glad you got toether!   :grouphug;

I am exactly the same.  Business only.  I have brought this pastry with me the past two visits in an attempt to "give a treat" to one of the nurse/techs and I still have it in my bag.  By the time she gets it I doubt it will be worth eating.....oh well, that was my one and only attempt to make nice with anyone there.

I even had two people from my center in the transplant orientation class with me and I have no desire to get to know them....how bad is that.  I do want to go to Vegas though for some strange reason.  When I speak of IHD I referr to people here as my friends, friends I have never met?

Well, my friend George, you have made the first step in expanding your list of friends---face to face friends.  I think this disease gives us lots of insecurities so I really appreciate that you went out on a limb and took a chance in meeting with us.  Just glad my girls and I didn't scare you off :rofl;   Looking forward to the next dinner!

We had such a fun time.  The kids were enjoying everything. Again, our dinner lasted 2 and 1/2 hours.  We just have so much to talk about.  George is great.  I know he is a big strong tough man, but he has an incredible gentle spirit and is so easy to be with.  It helps me so much to talk with him.  Last week, I told my sister I was having dinner with a guy I met on the internet!  She txt me 5 times during dinner! Her final txt was "are you alive?"  I called her when I got home and explained who I was meeting! :rofl;  We are looking forward to our next meet up.  Thanks George!  Thanks IHD and thank you Epoman!
