sick (literally) and tired.

I feel like i'm spread so thin! Today I called out of work because i'm sick as a dog.  Today was a less busy day than tomorrow for me at work - Tuesdays are always crazy days. I figured i'd take today, rest, and then force myself in to work tomorrow.  Now it ends up Wade has to go in and get his fistula balooned tomorrow and he needs someone with him to take him home, so I have to take tomorrow off from work too. The thing is, I feel like total garbage, and if i'm taking off work, i'd rather take care of MYSELF. How selfish is that? I'm also feeling quite jealous of Wade - as messed up as that sounds. I'm sick, and I can't have another day to rest and sleep (what I need) because HE is sick and needs me to drive him to his fistula appointment tomorrow. Then, Wednesday, regardless of how I feel, I HAVE to go to work because we need me to go make money for us. This is so frustrating!!!

Also, I know I have either a sinus infection or bronchitis or something like that. This isn't just allergies, and I can't even go to the doctor and get on meds, because I don't have a. insurance or b. money to pay for a doctors visit! And now Wade is getting pissy that i'm going to get him sick!

Can I check myself into the hospital so I have a reason to sleep and rest all day?

  You should find some time for yourself. I know it probably seems like there's absolutely no time left, but if you don't take care of yourself first, then you won't be much help to Wade either. I hope things get better for you

i know just how you feel - I have no insurance either, and when I'm sick I still have to work. Moneys so tight, and it seems like his only concern is making sure I don't get him sick- I do know just how you feel. I feel under alot of pressure as I am sure you do, tonight he asked me why I had pressure, I mean after all we can pee right? lol It sucks to be me sometimes too, but you love him so ultimately you just continue on. Its nice to come here and rant though, I 'd give you a hug if you were near me.

When I was without insurance in Florida, when I lived on my own, I never hesitated going to the dr's or hospital.. I would rather the medical bill show up on my credit report from not being able to pay it then not find out what was wrong with me and get some medicine for it if needed.

Hey female Poo I hope you feel better soon. My wife was just telling me how she feels trapped and unappreaciated at work .She is my health insurance lifeline, so that is why she feels trapped. So being the kind person I am  I told her to get over it.    NOT Really I was joking. I know how you are feeling and when a person gets sick things always look worse. Your feelings are real and all we can do is let you know your feelings are real and you must take time for yourself, you are no good to Wade if you are down. Please take a few hours and be selfish, I learned years ago that you have to do that before the Jelousy becomes hate. Please know we are hear for you and wade, you both are family now so take all the advice you can get from some of us seasoned veterans. Here's a  for you and a    for wade and a  for both of you.

Ugh Kari, so sorry you are sick!  I know how the pressure can get to you, it makes you so tired, add getting sick to that and it's just the worse.  So sorry about no health insurance, is there any way you can get on a state health plan?  I know Massachusetts has them for those under a certain income level.  Since you guys aren't married, that may work out for you. 

I know how tiring this all can be.  Sometimes I selfishly get tired of being Rob's caregiver.  I get annoyed with having to take care of him, the house, the bills, the dogs and now our child. 

Get yourself to the dr.  Bronchitis if not taken care of can turn into pneumonia, so take care of yourself!!!!!  Vent all you want, we know how you feel!!!

Now, I just need to try to relax - for the next few weeks I have one day off a week. Agh!

Oh man, Kari, you need time to and for yourself, if at all possible. Darn it all. Is there ANYONE who can take Wade to the clinic for you? Even just drop him off and you pick him up later?? Something??? You are not selfish. You NEED to think of yourself, to give yourself some time for you.
We're here for you!! Not just Wade, but you as well, you are just as important as he is!!

I'm working a bunch, and Wade's doing good. It's helped having a new car - now we have 2, so Wade can get himself to his appointments and I don't have to take off from work. I've gotten used to the exhaustion - if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger, right?
