I have registered but I'm not sure I want to remain a member. I am a positive person and have no intention of changing at this late date..I am pretty ancient(well! perhaps not so pretty). Though you deny it, your title proclaims it...but if your site furthers the cause of kidney sufferers, I can only applaud it...change the title say I!!!

Going through life tied to a chair!

Hi New Boy~

Welcome to the site.  And I do hope you stay.  Maybe you would hold more credibility if you have been on dialysis for years.  But, as your title states "New Boy".  You haven't.  If you have, then change your name say I.

I do hate dialysis.  Therefore the name stays.  You might try the site ilovedialysis.com  and see how many members you find there.

Again, welcome to the site and on the days you feel a "little" discouraged, you can come here and vent.

I'm also going to move your post under "Introduce Yourself".

Hey! There is no Ilovedialysis.com out there. Ya know!  I looked it up.  I still hate it.  After seven and ahalf years. I get to. I love this site and I love the name.

By the by welcome, don't let the name scare you off. There are a lot of good people here and we always will help when crisis hits anyone of us!

Hi FredC

The name may not sound positive but if you have read any of the posts you would see that it is more positive than you think.

How new are you to dialysis? I would have to say I too am a positive person but it's hard to find people that truly know what you are going through.  :-\

Some people think they know but unless you've been there you really don't get it.

Welcome FredC!
I too hesitated to sign up on this site because of the name.  I also am a very upbeat person and don't want to look at my situation in a negative manner- or think of it as such-  BUT..  I must say there are other like- minded individuals here and they are quite helpful and eager to assist with any concerns.  Therefore, let not the name dissuade you, my friend, we are all of similar circumstance here.  I do not think I have done much venting here, but then I have a very great personal support system, and this site just adds to that support- not everyone is as lucky, or understands so well.  Please stick around and you will see what great people are here to talk with, listen, and share in your personal life journey with kidney disease.
