Hey Everyone! Hope you are all doing well, i have not been on in the last couple of days because... frankly my computer and internet is RETARDED!! Anyhow... my Creat. jumps between 70 - 90 lately.. its been going up a bit because I've started going harder at the gym lately. I'm feeling great and back on track! and the doctors are happy with how things are going.. I have a scheduled routine biopsy on Monday to check that all is going well and there is no sign of rejection! (they do these on everyone between 8 - 12 weeks). I also wanted to add to something regardless of my complication and troubles i would not take back me having a transplant for anything. I feel fantastic.. and i believe things happen for a reason...and i was meant to have this kidney.... to anyone who believes a transplant is for them... don't ever give up hope or be scared of the what is to be... its worth every risk that a transplant throws in front of you... and i hope all u waiting get that call in time... Love Amanda xxoo

Amanda you and Tamara keep me going lately in my wait for THE CALL. Even though I've only been waiting around 2 years it's still a bit stresfull at times.. half of me imagining how it might be to have a transplant (can you guess how many iced coffees I am going to drink?!! or slurpees... or hell bottles of ice cold water??? )... and then I wonder how long it will be till I get that call.. then I get annoyed with myself for thinking about life WITH a transplant... like teasing myself when it's not happening yet... so sometimes can get a bit disheartening... specially when my sister's donation was knocked back earlier this year... but you two lovely ladies give me faith and I so enjoy reading how well you are both doing and improving every day... (of course I am slightly envious, but not in a bad way!).... so keep up the good work lil donated kidneys may your lovely owners be healthy and happy for years to come (oh did I mention drop dead gorgeous too? )... xox

This is how I feel too, Amanda, although my complications have been much simpler than yours, so it was great to read your post. You mentioned the gym also. What advice, if any, have the renal docs given regarding excerise? I've had problems trying to get back to exercise due to not being able to use my legs/feet properly, but I really want to start toning up again, etc. I was told it's too early to do things like sit ups, but haven't had much other advice. Thought I might at least start on some arm weights.

YAYYYY Amanda...great creat number...and especially happy that you'll be reducing that prednisone dosage tomorrow (that's such nasty stuff)...and I'll assume, since you're back to the gym, that overall you are feeling OK...how's everything in your head though? Your posts sound great, but just wanted to check

KR Cincy... you must be good at reading peoples mind I've had a few dramas at the hospital with some health stuff (unrelated to the kidney) but I'm hoping it will turn out to be nothing. And yes i will be taken off the prednisone all together... but i have not had any dramatic side effects because I'm such small dosage... so i can't complain. Thanks again. Amanda xxoo

Glad you are doing so very well. From reading other posts and from personal experience, we all have had some drama post transplant. Like you it is unrelated. I wonder if after transplant we all are more cautious and try to take better care of ourselves than the average person.
