How wonderful it is to come home to such beautiful messages from everyone. Thank you so much. Well yes I'm Home, which I'm sure is to the delightment of the staff and doctors of 9 East Transplant. Well where should i start...... from where i let off last time, my kidney started "waking up" a few days ago, my creat. has been dropping along with most my electrolytes which have now become normal (my creat. still needs to come down a bit, but it is getting the idea and is in the right direction). My kidney itself as you all know could not of been a better match. I am appreciative more than words can express for the kidney and a chance of living a life away from a dialysis machine regardless of my complication that i have received. I have decided to take a different approach to things, and have tried to build the courage to accept the things i can not change and knowledge to know the difference. In regards to "my complication" i have the best doctors looking after that area, and at the moment it is dormant in my system and with any luck it can stay like that, and if by any chance the situation changes, we will treat it with the best treatment available. I have chosen it is better for me mentally not to focus on it, and focus what is important at this time, which is my new kidney and looking after all areas of it. Before i end this topic, legally the matter has not been dropped yet forgotten, that is all still going ahead, but the first thing is my health and getting it on track. I have handled most the medication pretty well, i physically have not found any bad side affects from any of my medication, other then some tummy aches and shakey hands, so i won't complain about anything in that area. I still have some slight pain, which is manageable without taking any pain medication. I have already started a bit of exercise and took midgy for a 15 minute walk, which i know does not sound like much, but my poor young body was exhausted after, so I've decided to take the afternoon off just to rest. Thank you everyone again for being so kind and thinking and praying for me, I have missed you all so much, and i can;t wait to catch up with you all in chat, and in regards to posting i have a lot of catching up to do!! Hoping you are all well in safe, i think of you all always. Love Amanda xxoo PS - I will try to get some photos posted soon post-transplant and of roses wedding, if someone will kindly take some and scan some for me.

I have decided to take a different approach to things, and have tried to build the courage to accept the things i can not change and knowledge to know the difference. Oh Amanda, you are WONDERFUL. You are a brave, intelligent woman and I admire you for taking this approach! BTW, I think your 15 minute walk sounds like a HUGE achievement straight out of hospital (I still have trouble with 15 minute walks), and don't worry about the shaky hands. They might well continue (mine have) but they don't affect your quality of life.

Amanda,
I'm so glad you're home and your kidney is finally doing what it's supposed to do. I'm sorry about the rest of it, but I'm so inspired by your attitude toward it. Best of luck with everything, and please keep us informed of how things are going.
