For those of you on PD and are diabetic...how does the solution effect your blood sugar levels?  I was diagnosed three years ago (they say it's because of the long-term prednisone use) and I'm wondering if my blood sugars are going to totally yo-yo because of the dextrose.  I have a kinda funky version of diabetes in that my body produces a wee bit of insulin, but doesn't process it correctly so I supplement with insulin injections.  My endocronologist described it as sort of a hybrid between the two types.

Thank you everyone for all of the advice you've given me so far...I'm loving this site!
