« on: July 22, 2007, 06:45:07 PM »

Hello Everyone,

My name is Chris from MA.  I am 39 and have been on hemo for almost 10 years.
Although my user name is Sophia's Mom, I am only a mom to my pets, Sophia my
minature dashund, and Goodboy, my cat.  I was once married but my husband passed away
in 2001 of a heart attack. I am now with my current boyfriend George.
I look forward to getting to know you all.   Thanks,   Chris   :popcorn;

Welcome to our community!  We are so glad that you decided to join us.  Your story is particularly gratifying to me.  You see, hemo is the only possibllity in my territory.  I was so pleased that you have been on it that long.  I look forward to you sharing your experiences with me.  In another thread, please share with us, especially how you deal with the fluid restriction, etc.  So post lots (and soon!) :cuddle;

Welcome!  It's always great to have another perspective, especially from one who's been on dialysis so long, and is doing so well!   :welcomesign;

Thanks to everyone who welcomed me!

Hello to you all. I look forward to reading a lot of posts and replying where I might be helpful.
Even though I have been on hemodiaysis for 10 years, I'm sure to learn some things from some
of you and it's always a joy to be in the company of similarly situated people.
 :thx;

p.s.  I am from Eastern Mass outside of Boston  (Somerville)  I go to a Fresenius unit in Medford (the next town over).

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

Hello and welcome from another Mass resident!  We are in northern Mass in Haverhill, well actually in Bradford.  Rob is doing NxStage home dialysis, but his center used to be in Methuen.

I know Somerville well, my hometown is Revere and Rob's from Lynn.

Enjoy this site, it is a wonderful place full of truly wonderful people  :bandance;
