Life's a bitch and then you go on dialysis!

« on: July 16, 2007, 05:48:38 AM »

I've noticed on a few home dialysis posts of people in the USA the mention of 1.5 strength of fluid and similar figures. Iv'e gleaned up to now that 1.5 are the yellow bags of the weakest fluid. There must be some kind of different labelling procedures because in the UK yellow bags are labellled 1.36% and green 2.27%. Any body know why this is?

Right.  Yellow is the weakest.

Yellows are 1.5%
Greens are 2.5%
Reds are 4.5%

Mmmmm.  No idea.  I wish we had something lower than 1.5 though.

I'm not quite as bad as Chicken, I don't need anything lower than 1.5, but I think I've used five 2.5 the whole nine months I've been doing PD...I think a 4.25 would knock me out!
