Avandia Warning!

The FDA has just released a warning regarding this drug. It states that recent studies show that heart problems can be brought on quite easily with regular useage of it.

I just read that this morning!  Joe's been on it for years (couldn't take the other oral diabetic meds due to kidney problems  ) and we've never heard anything about risk of CHF.  Now I'm wondering if his current problems weren't exacerbated by it.  I honestly don't know if he's still on it, but I'll have to find out.

i've just been preoccupied with family, and getting too lazy, somehow...

There you are LightLizard, you had me worried!!  So glad your back and i am sorry you've been a little depressed, you know, IHD is an awesome support site with alot of caring people, you know you can talk to any of us, we are here for you friend

thanks again, nina. i guess being so new to dialysis, and the kidney condition in the first place, (my kidneys crashed oct. '06- suddenly) i'm still adjusting to it all. i have to let go of that 'man-stuff' and learn to share my feelings more, i know, but when they are unhappy feelings i tend to hold them in, like i don't want to add to anyone's burden by dumping my stuff on them. luckily, it always passes, sooner or later. a look in the mirror usually gets me laughing again, pretty quick.

Buy more mirrors   (that way you laugh more)    do whatever you got to do, just please, be as happy as you possibly can be

Blessings Nina, yes! It's very strange for me, I feel as if I am being 'forced' to live up to the philosophy that I have tried to teach for so long; 'live in the now, release the past, recognise each moment what a gift this life is....' Kidney disease is a formidable teacher! I just wish it had a nicer name!
