And people have the NERVE to ask me why I made the decision to donate.
Makes me want to scream, "EDUCATE YOURSELVES PEOPLE!"
Although, I'm embarrassed to admit that before I learned about this awful disease, I thought that dialysis patients just sat in a chair for a few hours a week, reading a magazine while a machine removed the toxins from their bodies. Don't ask me how I imagined the machines did THAT! I never allowed myself to think that far. Now I know why.
Dan, I read EVERY word of your blog. You are one SUPERHUMAN being. I have no doubt that if I had been faced with 1/10th of what you've been through, I would have been a hysterical, screaming, self-absorbed BITCH!
My thoughts are with you, your wife and family and your wonderful friends that have been by your side. Thanks for sharing your story.
