Emergency Contact List UPDATE

We have a “confidential” Emergency Contact List for this website.  As you may know we have lost some members since this started.  As “Luck” would have it, we found out about them.  But, just in case you ‘go missing’ then we would like to have someone to contact to make sure you are alright. 

This is strictly voluntary, and only the Administrator and the Moderators will have access to it.  We would not contact you unless you were not posting for a while. 

Please PM okarol with your:

 * Member name and phone number, and a family member’s name and phone number.  Or, someone who would know what you were up to.  And a time limit.

Example:  Rerun – 555-555-555 and Sister (name)  555-555-555 Contact me if not heard from in 2 months.

Do not post your information on the site anywhere.  In other words, do not “reply.”

Just send a Private Message to okarol with the information if you are interested in participating.   

If you have any questions, you may reply with a post because others may have the same question.

Note: Rerun did a great job maintaining this list. I hope we can update it for those who want to be on "the list" - (sorry it's not THE LIST, but it's a good one to be on!)

This is really a good idea and I hope all of our "Regular Posters" participate. As you all know death is a part of life and we are not trying to be morbid by requesting this information, we just consider our members as extended members of the family cousins if you will. We are all in this this together and when we have come to read your posts and learn more about you we start to form our own internet "Support Group" and if something were to happen to you we would like to know. So please take the time to send "Rerun" your information and rest assured that your information will never be used for any other purpose other than to contact you if we have not seen a post from you in a while (Several weeks). Also your information will never be given access to anyone other than a member of our admin team.

I am sure that any of us who provided that personal information show that we trust you guys to be discreet and prudent.   Therefore, if you see one of us who normally posts missing for any extended period, I would like to think that you would use the information you have to check us out.
Please change the 'several weeks' to 'several days'.

I'm glad you signed up for this and I understand your request and it makes sense however not every member visits our site daily or every few days. We don't want to jump to conclusions about you just because you have not visited us for a week or two. Peoples lives get busy and maybe something is going on in their life that does not permit them to visit us for a while.

We can mark your information to let us know that if we don't hear from you for several days we can call and find out if your all right. If anyone else would like us to check up on them more sooner than later please let "Rerun" know in the email you send her. Simply state:

"if you have not heard from me for "X" number of days, please call."

Come on guys no one has replied here or sent Rerun their info? I can't believe we have so many inconsiderate members  do you not care if we know if your alive or dead? I am asking all of my members who post here on a regular basis to give someones number that we could call to see if you are ok.

  Well Sara obviously if your husband passes GOD forbid, I'm sure you'll let us know. And since you yourself are an active member of this board if something happens to YOU we would also like to know.
