Feeling a bit low today... In two days time (Wed.), my darling mum, Elsie will be one year dead...

Doorbell rang, and these were delivered... A gift from our favourite battleaxe,  Kitz. .. Now before anyone gets upset, Kitz and I trade insults as a form of affection! !!...

Anyway, thank you very much for the beautiful and thoughtful gift, Kitz... You're not (quite) the worst!!!!!...

Cared for my late mum, Elsie who had Kidney Failure... Darling mum died on July 15th 2014... May her gentle soul rest in peace....

1972: Diagnosed with "chronic kidney disease" (no specific diagnosis)
1994: Diagnosed with FSGS
September 2011: On transplant list with 15 - 20% function
September 2013: ~7% function. Started PD dialysis
February 11, 2014: Transplant from deceased donor. Creatinine 0.57 on 2/13/2014

Isn't it amazing how quickly time marches on without our loved ones?

All I was thinking as I ordered those flowers was I sure hope I can find something with no pink in it, then evil laughter filled my head.....when the first pictures on the florist site were pink roses.  LOLOL!

You "olde battleaxe" deserve much more.

I'm gladdened that people can set aside any petty differences and come together to give remembrance and respect for the loss of a loved one.

This is just further proof there are some really good people here.
