I am very sorry Sugar for that terrible moment when you forgot ...
I call such moments "my senior moments" and there is nothing we can do,
when it's done, it's done... unfortunately ...
I send you lots of hugs and my kindest thoughts,
Kristina. :grouphug;

Sorry for your loss. Sometimes I call such experiences that make your stomach churn and give you heartburn a "Maalox Moment".  :puke;

Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

One did you back up to the iCloud if you did a new phone will restore without any problem, also did you try leaving the phone in a bag of uncooked rice for 2 days the rice sucks the water out of the phone.  Finally check with apple service generally cheaper to have phone serviced then buy a new one.  Good luck I would be lost without my apple toys.
