She was in town earlier this week with two of her children, so we met at a local bookstore coffee shop. I'm thrilled that we got to meet and I hope we can repeat the experience in the future. Kathy will need to post pictures. My camera batteries were dead, but she's more on top of things and had her camera, with charged batteries. I'm still giggling about the story she told me about throwing a chicken bone at her son.

Kathy, I assume you took Hwy 26 from downtown to get to the coast. Did you make it through before the landslide or were you stuck in the traffic backup? (we've had several landslides in the northwest lately and one of them was on the main route to the west, just outside of downtown.)

It was great meeting Deanne!  We had a great chat at Powell's. Just got back from the coast tonite and am dead tired!  Gotta work this weekend and I'll have to post the pics on Monday.........

Yes indeed, I did throw a drumstick at one of my sons!  It was during one of 2 rejection episodes and I was on 310mg prednisone daily at the time!  For some reason, he bugged me the most...but he was the only one who could put up with my moodiness......he he he.  He really does laugh about it ;D .

Deanne,  I had one hell of a time getting out to 26.  Didn't hear of the landslide until I finally made it out to Rockaway Beach.  After three tries downtown, I had to go down to Tigard and hook up to 217!  We ended up making a detour into Washington Square Mall and did a bit of shopping!!  Looking forward to seeing you again, and hearing how your marathon training is going.
